Yes, it is the middle of winter in Chicago. And, yes I did go to the beach. It is crazy that it can be cold out, and the dogs just don't seem to care. BIL, BFFneighbor and I had a nice little excursion to the beach yesterday. It was a balmy 35 degrees or so and the pups were hit with a bout of cabin fever. I can hardly blame them, if I were cooped up in the house all day with my only exercise being running up and down the stairs I would be a little stir crazy too. So, we packed up the 2 pups and off we went to Montrose Dog Beach. This place is so cool! You get there and every one lets the dogs off the leash and they all go play together. I like to just watch. Actually, I don't have much choice. The dogs don't want to have anything to do with people when they are there.
It is really interesting to see how they all react together. There was a bully picking on Bosley and our neighbor dog, Blue, came to his rescue. Literally leapt to his rescue. This big dog was hovering over Bosley barking (not very nicely), and Blue came running from across the beach, leapt over Bosley and basically tackled the other dog. BIL, BFFneighbor and I just stood there somewhat dumbfounded. I guess it goes to show that they know who their friends are.
